Prescott

We went to Prescott, AZ this past weekend and it was freezing...35 degrees when we left the hotel this morning. We were disappointed that we didn't get any snow though. We stayed in an old hotel with character, saw a gingerbread village & the mile long festival of lights, and hiked up to Thumb Butte. We did a lot of walking around in the cute little downtown, window shopping and looking in all of the art galleries. On our way out this morning, we stopped at Watson Lake to see the Granite Dells, which are beautiful round boulders surrounding the lake.

thank you for the posting w lovely photos of where I've been living happily for 7 years, but am away from home for the 3rd holiday season since my dad died; mom n' the kids are elsewhere. My gmail Alert for Prescott keeps me nostalgically in touch from a distance. Hope you stuck around for the snow... ;-)
